Reading Your Bill
Your current month, the estimate, and invoices.
Your bill builds up in the open. You can watch it during the month rather than finding out at the end.
Where it lives
Billing in the left menu.
What the screen shows
- Your plan
- What you are on, and any commitment discount applied to the base.
- Trial countdown
- Days remaining, if you are still in the trial.
- Usage so far
- Voice minutes and text segments used this billing month.
- Estimated bill
- Base plus overages, after your discount. It moves during the month as usage accrues.
- The same usage on pay-as-you-go
- Shown beside it when you are on a savings plan, so you can see what the commitment is actually saving you rather than taking it on trust.
It says estimated for a reason
Why the estimate moves
Two reasons, both ordinary. Usage accrues as calls happen, so the number climbs through the month. And voice rounds up per call, so a day of many short calls adds more than the raw seconds imply.
If it looks wrong rather than merely higher than you expected, compare the minute count against your call volume in Attribution for the same period. The two should broadly agree.
Invoices and payment
- Invoices
- Your billing history, downloadable for your records.
- Payment method
- Update the card here.
- A failed payment
- You get an email before anything is interrupted. Nothing stops answering the moment a card expires.
Check the minute count first, and remember voice rounds up per call. If the minutes themselves look wrong for your call volume, send us the billing month and we will go through it with you.
Yes, invoices download from this screen. For a picture of what the spend returned, the printable summary under Report is usually more useful to them than the invoice on its own.
