Free, with no card. You get the full setup wizard and a receptionist you can talk to in your browser, the way a caller would. There’s no phone line yet, and it never contacts anyone.

The free trial#

The free trial is the step that puts your receptionist on a real phone line. It needs a card on file and lasts 14 days or 100 voice minutes, whichever comes first.

At checkout

$0. Nothing is charged during the trial.

Before it ends

We email you a reminder 7 days before. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.

If the 100 minutes run out first

Your line pauses (callers hear a short message) until your plan starts on the trial's end date.

Monthly#

Monthly base

$49 a month. Includes your own local phone number.

Voice

$0.12 per minute. Each call is rounded up to the next whole minute.

Text

$0.03 per message segment we send to your customers.

Free

Alerts we text or email to you and your team, and incoming texts.

Commitment

None. Month to month, and you can cancel online any time.

Everything on top of the base is usage, so a quiet month costs less than a busy one. Prices exclude taxes, which are added where they apply: Dodo Payments calculates and adds any sales tax, and your receipt from Dodo Payments shows it.

3- and 12-month plans#

3-month plan

$41.65 a month base (15% off) for 3 plan months.

12-month plan

$34.30 a month base (30% off) for 12 plan months.

Usage

The same rates as Monthly. Only the base changes.

How they're billed

Monthly, like every plan, and never ahead. Plan months run from the plan's start date (the 20th to the 20th, say), and each is billed after it ends, on the statement for the calendar month it ends in.

Renewal

Each plan renews for the same length at the same price unless you turn renewal off in Billing. We email you 30 days (3-month) or 40 days (12-month) before it renews. If that email can't reach you at least 25 or 30 days before the plan ends, it doesn't renew: you move to Monthly, and we tell you.

Leaving early

The plan months you've started are re-priced at $49 and the difference is added to your bill for the month you cancel in. Your service runs to the end of the plan month you're in. You never pay more than the plan's total ($124.95 for 3 months, $411.60 for 12), and there's no cancellation fee.

When you’re charged#

Billing months are calendar months in your time zone. After each month ends, we email you an itemised statement, then charge that month’s base and usage in one payment, plus any sales tax. Your first month’s base is prorated from the day your trial ends (or from the day your plan starts). The charge comes from Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, so that’s the name on your card statement, and Dodo Payments emails you a receipt for every payment.

Your monthly limit starts at $1,000 before tax. Change it yourself in Billing, to any whole-dollar amount from $100 to $10,000; for more, reply to any of our emails and we’ll set it. A new limit applies to every month not yet billed, this one included. A bill above it is held: nothing is charged until we’ve emailed you the amount and the date we’d charge it, at least 10 days ahead, and a month already held stays held if you change your limit afterwards. We check once a day and email you when a month’s estimate reaches 75% of your limit and again at 100%; going over your limit never pauses your line. A month under $1 isn’t charged.

First few months live

Monthly. You don't know your real call volume yet, and you can leave at the end of any month.

Settled, and staying

A 3- or 12-month plan. By then you know you're staying, so the lower base is a real saving rather than a bet.

Is it worth it?#

Don’t judge this from the bill alone. Open Attribution and put the two numbers side by side: what you were billed, against the value of appointments that were booked and held.
