CaughtLeads vs Rosie: Which AI Receptionist Fits a Small Contractor?
CaughtLeads · CaughtLeads · October 13, 2026
Rosie is a simple AI receptionist for small businesses, with plans from $49 a month. Here is how it compares with CaughtLeads on price, on booking, and on which kind of contractor each one suits.

Looking at Rosie? Here is where we differ
If you have looked for a low-cost AI receptionist for a small business, you have probably come across Rosie.
There are good reasons for that. Rosie is simple to set up, it starts at $49 a month, and it answers in English and Spanish.
We are an AI receptionist too, built for home-services trades like HVAC, roofing and plumbing. Both of us answer your calls when you can't. The two real differences are how each one bills you and what you have to pay for before calls get booked into your calendar.
Every Rosie price here is from its own pricing page, checked on 12 October 2026. Prices change, so check them again before you decide.
Plans against per minute
Rosie sells plans with a block of minutes. Professional is $49 a month for 250 minutes. Scale is $149 for 1,000 minutes. Growth is $299 for 2,000 minutes. Paying yearly gets you two months free. Rosie does not charge a per-minute overage: its terms say that if you go over your minutes, it moves you up to a higher plan, and you stay on it.
We charge per minute. A $49 monthly base that includes your own local number, then $0.12 for each minute of talk time. Each call is rounded up to the next whole minute, and calls under 15 seconds are not billed. Texts to your customers are $0.03 a segment once your business's text registration is approved, and alerts to you and your team are free. A 3-month plan takes 15% off the base, a 12-month plan 30%, and there is no setup fee.
The catch is booking. On Rosie's $49 plan, a caller who wants an appointment gets a booking link by text. Booking straight into your calendar starts on the $149 Scale plan. With us, booking into your open slots comes with the $49 base.
What a normal month costs
Here are two examples with round numbers. Swap in your own.
- A quiet month: 60 calls at 3 minutes, 180 minutes in all. Rosie Professional is $49, with booking links sent by text. We are $49 plus 180 minutes at $0.12, which is about $71.
- A busier month: 150 calls at 3 minutes, 450 minutes in all. That is over Rosie's 250 minutes, so you need Scale at $149. We are $49 plus 450 minutes, which is $103.
Price is only half of it. Here is where each one is stronger.
Where Rosie is the better choice
Your line is quiet. Under 250 minutes a month, and happy for callers to book from a text link, Rosie's $49 plan costs less than we do.
Your callers speak Spanish. Rosie answers in English and Spanish on every plan.
You want recordings. Rosie includes call recordings and transcripts on every plan. We keep transcripts in your account, but call recording is switched off today.
You use Google Calendar or Calendly. Rosie connects to both directly on Scale and above, and to other tools through Zapier.
Where we are different
Built around home-services calls. Our receptionist asks what is wrong, where the job is and when suits the caller, then books the appointment into one of your open slots.
Safety calls come first. If a caller mentions a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, the receptionist tells them to get somewhere safe and call 911, then emails you and phones the emergency contacts who agreed to take these calls. It does not try to book a gas leak.
You see which bookings actually happened. We report which bookings were kept and what each job was worth, using the final invoice total. You enter the total, or it comes back from Jobber or ServiceTitan through your own Zapier account, or from Housecall Pro directly (in beta).
Honest limits. It tells callers it is an AI. Texting your customers switches on only after your business's text registration (A2P 10DLC) is approved, and only for people who agreed to receive texts.
Test both on your own calls
You do not have to take our word for it, or theirs. It takes an afternoon.
- Pull last month's call log and add up the minutes.
- Price that month on both, with and without calendar booking.
- Call both the way a customer would, including one awkward call.
- Ask each one what happens when a caller says "I smell gas".
You can build and test our receptionist in your browser for free, with no card. The trial on a real phone line lasts 14 days or 100 voice minutes, whichever comes first. Rosie offers a 7-day free trial.
Pick the one that fits your calls
If your line is quiet, your callers need Spanish, or you want recordings, Rosie is the better fit.
If you want calls booked into your calendar without moving to a $149 plan, and you want to see which booked jobs actually went ahead, we are worth a test.
If you are weighing several services at once, Ruby receptionist alternatives for contractors prices the same month on six of them.
